FRANCIS
About Him:
engenders mirth
and
mayhem as a most unladylike
ladybug, who finds that it's not easy
being the male of his species. With
everyone automatically assuming
he's a "lady," it's no wonder that
this circus clown is a little bit
sensitive to the situation and
carries an oversized chip
permanently on his shoulder
About The Actor That Does His Voice: (Dennis Leary)
Like the gruff
character he portrays, Leary has his own distinctive brand of
rapid-fire, fiery humor that's made him a star. He began
performing his stand-up
comedy while attending college in Boston. During the year he
lived and worked in
London, he wrote "No Cure for Cancer," a wildly popular
one-man show, which
debuted at the Edinburgh International Arts Festival in 1990 and
then at the West
End Theater that same year. In 1991 the critically acclaimed
"No Cure for Cancer"
had its off-Broadway debut and also brought him to the attention
of MTV. He was
immediately hired by MTV to do promotional spots in which he
ranted about
everything from politics to life in general.
Following his MTV gig, he began acting in films, getting his
first bit part in "Strictly
Business" (1992). While he was developing his film career,
he found time to work
as a contributing editor of "Details" magazine. He also
published a book, released
his first comedy album, and executive-produced the small-screen
version of "No
Cure for Cancer."
