About The Actor That Does Her Voice: (Julia Louis Dreyfuss)
The Emmy Award-winning actress is best known
for her role as Elaine Benes on
the popular NBC series "Seinfeld." In addition to her
Emmy, her work on "Seinfeld"
has earned her numerous awards, including a 1997 Screen Actors
Guild Award for
Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and a 1994 Golden
Globe for Best
Performance in a Series by a Supporting Actress. She is a
four-time American
Comedy Award winner for Funniest Supporting Female in a
Television Series and
is also the recipient of two Viewers for Quality Television
Awards for Best
Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Her feature film credits
include Woody
Allen's "Deconstructing Harry," "Hannah and Her
Sisters," "Father's Day," "Soul
Man," "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation,"
"Jack the Bear," and "North."
Additionally, she is currently Clairol's Nice and Easy Girl.
Born in New York City and raised in Washington D.C.,
Louis-Dreyfus became
interested in acting at a very early age. While studying theater
at Northwestern
University she worked extensively as a member of the Practical
Theater Company
in Chicago. Her innate talent and quick timing eventually led her
to the
world-renowned Second City theater troupe, which launched the
careers of such
comedy innovators as John Belushi, Gilda Radner, and Bill Murray.
It was during
her performance in "The Practical Theater's Golden 50th
Anniversary Jubilee" that
she was asked to join the cast of "Saturday Night
Live," which she did for three
years.
Julia is married to writer and producer Brad Hall. The
"Saturday Night Live" costars
have known each other since their college days at Northwestern.
They've been
married for nine years and currently reside in Los Angeles with
their sons, Henry
and Charlie.
